Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced Assistant Lodge Manager to oversee the daily operations and guest services at a prestigious Luxury Safari Lodge in the Sabi Sands Reserve.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the lodge's operations, including guest services, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, and administration.
- Ensure exceptional guest experiences by addressing their needs and resolving any issues or concerns.
- Supervise and train staff members to deliver high-quality service and professionalism.
- Coordinate staff schedules and duties for optimal coverage.
- Maintain inventory levels of supplies, equipment, and amenities.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to provide outstanding dining experiences.
- Monitor lodge maintenance and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Foster a positive work environment and promote staff development.
- Develop relationships with suppliers, local communities, and stakeholders.
- Uphold company policies, procedures, and health and safety standards.
- Manage budgets, expenses, and revenue opportunities while maintaining cost control.
- Stay updated on industry trends and identify opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a safari lodge or remote location.
- Proven track record of managing teams and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of lodge operations and sustainable tourism practices.
- Proficiency in relevant computer systems and software.
- First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Passion for nature, wildlife, and guest service.
