Junior Unity-Developer (m/w/d) in VC-backed Metaverse-Startup for Arts / in Munich [Germany]

 

Atopia is a young impact startup from Munich, Germany, building a metaverse for art and culture - a platform where all the museums, galleries, stages and sights of this world can be visited from anywhere, in VR or simply from your laptop. Our mission: to make culture accessible to everyone. In just a few months, we've partnered with 15 of the world's leading cultural institutions (e.g. Kunsthalle Mannheim, Gropius Bau Berlin, Bayerischer Rundfunk), programmed our prototype to beta, and presented our concept on stages as big as Silicon Valley.

Tasks

To bring our platform to life, we're looking for a talented Unity generalist that can handle anything our dynamic product development throws at you. In particular, we look for someone that can work through most of the production pipeline, can work with 3D teams and is proficient in coding new VR interactions.

We will fully integrate you into our processes from day 1 and give you responsibility over your own projects, so you can also experience first-hand how building a startup works!

Requirements

• You are experienced in Unity and are aquainted with the Addressables System as well as the XR Interaction Toolkit
• You have experience in VR interaction development and have a burning passion for immersive technologies
• You know your way around the steps to optimize and package a scene
• You know how to test performance in VR and give constructive feedback to the 3D team on how to solve issues
• You have a good eye for clean code and are self-driven
• You can work on site in our office in Munich together with us
