Job Description


The Treasury Manager will report to the Finance Director. The Treasury manager is responsible for managing the financial and monetary aspects of the business and is accountable for all aspects of financial planning and analysis. The Treasury Manager is tasked with planning and executing the day-to-day treasury activities which includes managing cash flow, liquidity, funding, and relationships with financial institutions.


Qualifications


How will you support the team?

  • Prepares, reviews and distributes monthly financial reports to management.
  • Coordinates financial questions/answers relating to different departments.
  • Assists in the budget and reforecast process.
  • Develops, maintains and distributes ad hoc reports and financial models as needed.
  • Utilizes accounting system to pull financial data to support the monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reporting process.
  • Contributes to the development and improvement of analysis and forecasting models, by combining financial and core business activity data.
  • Updates rolling forecast and ensures bank covenant ratios are being respected.
  • Prepares banking reports on a regular basis (and its variances).
  • Acts as a liaison between Finance and other departments as well as external suppliers.
  • Ensures data integrity and accuracy, analyzes the General Ledger transactions to ensure accurate posting to proper accounts.
  • Track cash investment activities.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements.
  • Evaluate and purchase foreign currency.

The people that thrive with us have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related degree required
  • 8-10 years of experience.
  • CPA, CMA, CGA, CFA designations are an asset.
  • Experience with Great Plains, Navision, Epicor is an asset.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel-pivot table, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Good understanding of the accounting cycle management, of variation analysis and monthly results tracking
  • Excellent ability to focus, work under pressure and on short deadlines as well as with shifting priorities
  • Good sense of autonomy
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple projects
  • Sense of organization, rigor and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Bilingualism is an asset.

Additional Information


Working Conditions and Environment

  • Temporary mandate of 18 months with an option for renewal.
  • This is a full-time position.
  • Hybrid work environment.
  • Works in a sitting/walking/standing position.
